Crinkle Cookies Recipe

If you have ever wondered what makes crinkle cookies crinkle, you are not alone. The crinkles on these cookies are created in the baking process—the cookie dough is first rolled in icing sugar and baking them creates this unique design. Although traditionally made during the holidays, these cookies make for a great treat year-round.

How to Store and Keep the Cookies Fresh

Be patient and let your cookies sit on the baking tray for 1 to 2 minutes once they are baked to your liking. It is important to let the cookies cool before storing them. It is a good idea to put the cookies in a sealed container at room temperature. This helps keep your cookies fresh for up to a week! Crisp cookies can also be stored in a looser-fitting container and some like to freeze their cookies to make them last longer.
