Oliva by El Turco: A New Standard for Turkish Dining in Miami

Oliva by El Turco isn’t just a meal—it’s a journey into the heart of Turkish cuisine, offering an elevated dining experience that builds on the beloved flavors of El Turco. This Miami hotspot blends tradition and sophistication, serving up exceptional flavors, fresh ingredients, and rich recipes that transport you with every bite.

As a more upscale iteration of El Turco, Oliva takes familiar favorites and refines them, pairing them with meticulous presentation and an ambiance that exudes style. Their menu features a vibrant selection of meze, flavorful grilled meats, and fresh seafood, all prepared to perfection. From creamy dips and hearty salads to perfectly seasoned kebabs and tender marinated lamb, there’s no shortage of specialties to be enjoyed.

Şehzade Tray

Every meal should start with meze, and you’ll find a range of creamy, zesty, and smoky options to explore. To get a little bit of everything, opt for the Şehzade Tray, which comes with five different meze selections, served with Turkish pickles and homemade pide. We found that ideal for two people; larger parties can take advantage of the Sultan’s Tray with eight mezes. No matter which tray you choose, pair it with the Kaşık Salad—a refreshing mix of tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and a special house sauce—for a light yet flavor-packed start to your meal.

Çökertme Kebab

In terms of heartier fare, the Çökertme Kebab is a standout, featuring marinated strips of beef layered over crispy fries, garlic yogurt, tomato sauce, and topped with fried tomatoes and green peppers. The lamb chop, served with bulgur rice, offers great value; it’s a meat feast for the price. If you’re looking to sample a bit of everything, Oliva has you covered with the El Turco Kebab—a mixed grill platter with a variety of meats—lets you experience the best of Oliva’s offerings.

Künefe

Still have room after all that food? Oliva’s desserts will send you off with a smile. The künefe is a favorite, with its crispy layers of shredded phyllo, a cheese center, and sweet syrup and pistachio finish. The Kazandibi, an Ottoman-style caramelized milk pudding topped with cinnamon, is another highlight, offering a creamy and lightly spiced finale to your meal. Those seeking something lighter can always opt for a scoop of marash ice cream.

If El Turco is your go-to for comforting, authentic Turkish flavors, Oliva is the natural next step. Elevated and refined, yet still deeply rooted in tradition, it offers the perfect balance of familiarity and sophistication. Whether you’re sharing a spread of meze or diving into a perfectly grilled kebab, every dish is an experience worth savoring.
