Where to Eat in Miami on a Budget

Let’s be honest: Dining out can get expensive. That said, you don’t need to spend an arm, leg, and your firstborn for a great meal in Miami. The following eateries provide an unparalleled dining experience without breaking the bank so you can experience Miami on a budget.

Ironside Pizza

Over in Ironside, the neighborhood’s namesake eatery is pumping out pies that won’t set you back compared to other pizza peers. Ironside Pizza features a hearty selection of classic, white, and gourmet pies to choose from that range in price from the mid-teens to mid-twenties. While that might seem high for some, these pizzas can be easily shared; they’re a great value. The speck gorgonzola is a personal favorite, and you can never go wrong with a classic margherita.

Ironside Pizza is located at 7580 NE 4th Court, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official website.

Huahua’s Taqueria

When you think of affordable food on Miami Beach, Lincoln Road is probably one of the last places you think of. You’re not wrong: It’s full of tourist traps. But one non-touristy place that’s great and budget-friendly is Huahua’s Taqueria.

The small Mexican joint is beloved for its tacos, whose proteins range from Baja fish and grilled steak to roasted mushrooms and fried chicken. Other favorites include the carnitas nachos and the elote. One thing to note: Space is limited, so expect to take your food to go unless you get really lucky.

Huahua’s Taqueria is located at 1211 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

Moon Thai & Japanese

Moon Thai & Japanese has locations throughout South Florida, but we love the original Coral Gables location the most. Regardless of location, Moon Thai is ideal for a fast meal that won’t break your budget. Both the Thai and Japanese menus are humongous, so there’s bound to be something you’ll like. On the Thai side, expect to find selections like pad thai, tiger prawn, green curry, yellow curry, papaya salad and so much more. The same goes for the Japanese menu: There’s SO much sushi to be had. In other words, prepare to eat a lot.

Moon Thai & Japanese is located at 1118 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables, FL 33146. For more information, visit their official website.

Sanguich

Cuban sandwiches are a dime a dozen, but our favorite can be found at Sanguich in Little Havana. It’s just … perfect: City Ham, lechon, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard on Cuban bread. There’s not much to it, but it packs so much flavor. The best part is it’s super affordable. And so are the other sandwiches at Sanguich like the pan con lechon and croqueta preparada. The only downside is that the place is ALWAYS busy; try to come early or at an off time so you don’t wait long.

Sanguich is located at 2057 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33155. For more information, visit their official website.

United States Burger Service

At United States Burger Service, you should know that burgers come out fast, chea, and delicious. But you also need to know that the Citadel food hall’s iconic burger spot is known for its sense of humor: Mail puns and references galore can be found throughout USBS’s menu.

For instance, a double patty burger is known as a 2-Day, their signature chicken sandwich is a Carrier Pigeon, and fries come as various types of insurance and tariffs. You don’t find too many playful restaurants that make some seriously good food—USBS is one of them.

United States Burger Service is located at 8300 NE 2nd Ave Suite 102, Miami, FL 33138. For more information, visit their official Instagram.
