Wednesday, July 10: National Pina Colada Day at CJ’s Crab Shack

What to Do in Miami This Week [July 8-14] - Caja Caliente, CJ's Crab Shack, Ironside Pizza, Midorie Miami, weekly - December 2024

Can you think of a better place to sip on an ice-cold Pina Colada than out on Ocean Drive, just steps away from the beach? Yup, Wednesday marks National Pina Colada Day and CJ’s Crab Shack knows their rum-based beverages! Just ask anyone in South Beach and they’ll tell you how it is if you don’t believe us. The Pina Coladas at CJ’s are positively loaded with spiced rum and come topped off with a Bacardi dark rum floater. You can even get it in a CJ’s Souvenir Cup for an extra $3. Now seafood and Pina Coladas are a match made in heaven if you ask us, so make sure to balance off the sips with some crispy fried popcorn shrimp, oysters Rockefeller, or an unforgettably creamy seafood pasta swarming with lobster, shrimp, and scallops. Cheers!

Thursday, July 11: National Mojito Day at Caja Caliente

What to Do in Miami This Week [July 8-14] - Caja Caliente, CJ's Crab Shack, Ironside Pizza, Midorie Miami, weekly - December 2024

Two days celebrating alcoholic bevies in a row?! Why not—it’s summer, and we’re in Miami, after all. Get ready to groove on National Mojito Day at Caja Caliente, the vibrant Cuban hotspot. Swing by on July 11th for $1 mojitos all day long. Yes, you heard that right—only $1. Indulge in refreshing flavors like guava, passionfruit, and strawberry. Sip on the mojitos alongside mouthwatering bites like plantain chips & guac, beef-filled fried plantain balls, empanadas, croquettes, and more. And don’t miss out on the restaurant’s legendary Cuban tacos, packed with your favorite protein and topped with cotija cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, and aioli. We wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Caja Caliente is located at 95 NE 40th Street, Miami, FL 33137. For more information, visit their official website

Friday, July 12: Lunch at Midorie

Join us for lunch at Midorie in Coconut Grove, the ultimate chill spot for a soulful, fast-casual Japanese lunch. Created by Alvaro Perez Miranda of Hiyakawa and Ogawa fame, this serene retreat is all about pure vibes and top-notch fish flown straight from Japan. Lunchtime here is a fresh catch fest with five authentic Japanese dishes: fish donburi, maki, nigiri, sashimi, and temaki. Craft your perfect bowl with Atlantic salmon, yellowfin tuna, wild blue crab, or Japanese yellowtail, paired with crisp veggies and your choice of rice, soba noodles, or mixed greens, all topped with house-made sauces packed with umami goodness.

Saturday, July 13: Happy Hour at Ironside Pizza

What to Do in Miami This Week [July 8-14] - Caja Caliente, CJ's Crab Shack, Ironside Pizza, Midorie Miami, weekly - December 2024

This just in: Ironside Pizza has extended its already luscious happy hour and now you can enjoy 50% off almost the entire menu from 4 to 7 p.m. every single day. Yes, that’s including the weekends which is precisely why you’ll find us sipping on some refreshing beverages out on their breezy patio. You’ll have to come to the restaurant to see exactly what menu items fall under the half-off happy hour promotion but expect to see most appetizers, pizzas, and beverages on the menu. Tomatoes are in season now so we’ll be looking forward to some crispy fresh baked bruschetta with tomatoes, basil, and garlic or everyone’s favorite caprese prepared with beefsteak tomatoes and artisanal burrata.
