Tuesday, February 13: National Italian Food Day at Toscana Divino

If you ask us, an Italian food celebration can be at no other than Toscana Divino. The upscale Brickell restaurant specializes in Tuscany cuisine, made with sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. Toscana Divino follows the Italian mantra: chi mangia bene, viva bene, meaning “ – s/he who eats well, lives well,” and it definitely shows.

Join us for dinner as we order from the a la carte menu that changes by the season. We’ll start our appreciation of Italian food with the homemade focaccia served with Maldon salted butter. Next on to the appetizers, where dishes like vitello tonnato (milk-fed veal in a tuna-based sauce) and capesante alla nerano (scallops served alongside a caciocavallo fondue) come plated with the utmost class. Once it’s time for the primi piatti we’ll be sure to get an order of the risotto funghi & tartufo made with locally farmed seasonal mushrooms and truffle. To round it all off, the restaurant has an award-winning collection of Italian wines, and fortunately, the sommeliers are exceptionally knowledgeable.

Wednesday, February 14: Valentine’s Day at Sha Wynwood

Indulge in a sensually delicious Valentine’s Day experience at Sha Wynwood, where love fills the air on February 14. Enter the enchanting, softly-lit dining haven, ideal for cozying up with your beloved amidst a feast of tantalizing Mediterranean delights.

Let the truffled torched tuna carpaccio and delicate hamachi crudo seduce your taste buds, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. Feast on the zesty yuzu-buttered pasta al limone or the premium Angus beef filet mignon accompanied by a pumpkin puree. No Valentine’s Day celebration is complete without a sweet and decadent dessert, and the white chocolate cake is just the thing, accompanied by ice cream and a blueberry-yuzu coulis.  Raise a glass of bubbly to love and lose yourselves in the soulful melodies of live music as romance blooms anew at Sha.

Friday, February 16: Crabs and Drinks at CJ’s Crab Shack

A monthly happy hour get-together at the Ocean Drive gem is not a passing fad, it’s a well-rooted tradition for us by now. The ocean breeze, the enormous daiquiri chalices, some good ol’ people-watching, and a wide array of marine fare. We patiently wait for it all month long.

If it’s your first time at CJ’s Crab Shack, we need to warn you: the daiquiri bar is tempting, but those drinks catch up fast, so a nice spread of shareables is in order. The creamy artichoke crab dip never skips an appearance on our table, and neither does the crab cake, baked in shell. The crispy fried calamari come served with a marinara sauce that is to die for, and the Southern-fried grouper fingers come with a zesty tartar sauce. Get here any time before 9 p.m., and you’ll also be looking at $2 beers and $3.50 well drinks. Let’s keep that between us, though.

Sunday, February 18: Brunch at Pastis

Snatch a seat on the tres chic patio at Pastis, where you’ll feel transported to the charming Parisian streets in a heartbeat. The quintessential NYC French brasserie has set up shop in Wynwood for good. With their bright and breezy courtyard and garden, it’s just the perfect place to stop by for Sunday brunch with the besties.

The extensive brunch menu allows diners to choose their own journey for the afternoon. Will it be fresh oysters on the half shell alongside a mignonette sauce, local stone crab claws, and a St Tropez Spritz? Perhaps a cheesy onion soup, garlic-parsley butter escargot, and Le Dirty Martini? Or, maybe a bruleed grapefruit, a freshly baked pain au chocolat, and a cafe au lait is all you need. Whatever route you take, the brunch at Pastis can easily become a Sunday ritual.

Pastis is located at  380 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, head to their official website: https://pastismiami.com/
