Dark Dining at Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant & Bar

Dining in the dark enthusiast? On Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m., Chef Adrianne Calvo invites guests to join her for a culinary journey at Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Bar, where she will present the Sea Splendors of Kyushu experience through her renowned “Dark Dining” concept. For $100 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), guests will be treated to a five-course meal paired with two glasses of wine, all while blindfolded. Tickets can be purchased here

Verde Launches New Spring Menu

On the heels of announcing their new exec chef, Lois Navone, Verde has unveiled a new spring menu. Highlights include Miso-Roasted Salmon, which is served with a corn puree, soy reduction, baby bok choy, tsuyu broth, and rice pearls; Verde Risotto, a new signature dish, which includes a creamy spinach puree, gorgonzola cream and topped with pine nuts. Navone has also brought back a signature Verde dish, the Brick Chicken, an old Verde dish brought back by Navone served with crispy smashed potatoes and baby kale; Roasted Sunchokes, with lemon aioli, parmesan, parsley, lemon gremolata and topped with toasted Panko breadcrumbs; and more.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila 

Looking to go all out this Cinco de Mayo? Bodega might be the right choice. All locations will have a variety of activities and entertainment, as well as drink specials from Cazadoes and Patron. The Fort Lauderdale and Coconut Grove locations will have dancers from Zhantra Entertainment, who will be performing from 11 p.m. to 1 am.

Cantina Beach

Oceanfront views and a Cinco de Mayo buffet await you at Cantina Beach at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. The buffet will feature a chips and salsa bar, salads, ceviche de camaron (shrimp), a Mexican Street Corn Grill station, Guajillo Honey Glazed Baby Back Ribs, Dos XX Braised Borracho Chicken, and so much more. To end your celebration on a sweet note, the eatery is also offering a dessert station with sweet treats like Tequila Infused Mexican Tres Leches, Abuelita Moussa Chocolate Cake, and Churros with Chocolate Chipotle Sauce. 

Over at the Beverage Station, you’ll find oh-so-many margaritas and micheladas, as well as tequila and mezcal tasting. Kiddos are welcome as well, and they’ll even have a special Kids Buffet including options like chicken tenders, fries, cheese quesadillas, and a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. The buffet is priced at $85++ per adult and $50++ per child and will take place on May 5 from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar 

On May 5th, Friday, Tacocraft is organizing an all-day Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at all four of its venues in Broward and Miami-Dade. Guests can enjoy live Mariachi and several margarita and beer specials from open to close. The celebration will continue into the night when Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar’s Victoria Park Fort Lauderdale will host its Third Annual Block Party. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and include a lineup of live entertainment, bands, and DJs. There will also be multiple bars serving Tacocraft’s handcrafted margaritas and cocktails, and food stations with tacos, street corn, and more.

TUR Kitchen

At TUR Kitchen, the Cinco de Mayo festivities begin with a flight of 3 varieties of mezcal, each one accompanied by a food element to enhance their flavor profile. The 1.5 oz flight is priced at $27; the 3 oz full flight is priced at $42. The menu includes: Espadin, “a sweet and herbaceous expression, well-balanced with hints of red apple, ripe fruits, and mild smoky finish,” served with clementine and Aleppo pepper; Salmania, “sweet and spicy profile with hints of green chili, grapefruit, and fresh agave,” served with grapes; and Tobala, “offering an earthy expression with hints of tobacco, cocoa, vanilla & leather,” served with dark chocolate.

Brunch will include a complimentary welcome mimosa for all moms, as well as items such as the Israeli Froze with strawberries, sumac, and mint; Smoked Local Fish Dip with labneh, American caviar, and Jerusalem bagel chips; Crunchy Cauliflower with tamarind glaze; Green Shakshuka en Croute with creamed spinach, pasture-raised eggs, and feta; Tahini Crème Brulee with sesame tuile and more.

Amal Miami 

Amal Miami’s celebrating mamas with a special Lebanese brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring new additions available only on Mother’s Day. Highlights include Avocado Toast with labneh, sourdough, poached egg, zaatar, and heirloom tomatoes; Lobster Benedict with heirloom tomatoes, Aleppo pepper, hollandaise, and breakfast potatoes; Dolma Lamb Chops made with meat grape leaves and yogurt cucumber; and for dessert Orange Cake with white chocolate ganache and blood orange sorbet.

Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits at The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale

Burlock Coast is celebrating Mother’s Day with a Seafood Tower special for $99 (serves 2-4 guests) and a bottomless beverage package priced at $39++. The special is available on Sunday, May 14 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Café La Trova 

At Café La Trova, moms will be celebrated with a complimentary welcome glass of Prosecco as well as live music starting at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 14. The restaurant will offer Latin-American inspired a la carte specials from chef Michelle Bernstein (along with their regular a la carte menu), including a Shrimp Cocktail; Roast Beet Salad with truffle cheese, shaved apples, greens, and sherry-lemon vinaigrette; Fresh Seared Codfish with a basil and citrus gremolata, celery root and shaved asparagus; and Lamb Chops with minty jus, polenta, and peas.

Casa Sensei

If you’re up for a tiny trek, Fort Lauderdale’s signature Pan-Asian, Latin-fusion waterfront eatery is offering a bottomless “Rose All Day” special where guests can imbibe bottomless rose for $25 per person. Be sure to pair your vino with some of their brunch options, like the Togarashi Fried Chicken and waffles or the Casa Wagyu Burger, 8 ounces of wagyu ground beef topped with peppercorn, bacon, guac, and gouda, and served with slaw and truffle fries.

Cote Miami

Remind Mom why you’re her favorite child with an indulgent meal at the Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-nominated Cote Miami, paired with signature rose pours. The “Mother’s Day Feast” is priced at $125 per person++ and includes a “tour” of Cote’s finest plates featuring five selected cuts including scallops and USDA Prime, American Wagyu, and Japanese A5 Wagyu. Guests will begin their meal with the Fisherman’s Welcome and enjoy an array of Korean accompaniments including pickled seasonal veggies and salads; Red Leaf Lettuce with Ssaam-jang; Savory Egg Souffle, Two Stews with Rice; followed by Soft Serve ice cream topped with soy sauce caramel for dessert. Prefer to go a la carte? The regular menu options will also be available as part of their all-day menu. Fiola Miami

Fiola Miami is serving up a three-course prix-fixe menu ($135 per person) that includes highlights such as the Cobia Ceviche with leche de tigre, habanero, crispy chickpeas; Ricotta & Lemon Pancake with Florida strawberry compote and whipped mascarpone; Swordfish Milanese with lemon, capers, Jimmy Nardello peppers, cucumber, and fried egg; and Delmonico Steak & Eggs made with pancetta, ossobuco sauce, and wild ramps Zabaglione. Dessert options include a Florida Key Lime Pie with coconut sorbet and lime zest; Profiteroles with Diplomat crema and fior di latte gelato; and Marchesi Valrhona Chocolate Terrine with berries, vanilla gelato, and vanilla sable crumbs. Bottomless brunch, anyone? Joliet, a seafood bistro and garden in Miami Beach, is inviting guests to celebrate Mother’s Day with Southern-inspired brunch specials and boozy bottomless offerings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to the restaurant’s signature a la carte brunch menu, the eatery will serve Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with grilled asparagus and remoulade; Salmon Almondine with Carolina Gold rice and summer squash, and Strawberry Shortcake. Level 6, the latest rooftop restaurant and lounge to open in Coconut Grove, is honoring mothers with a brunch menu that includes some fresh additions, available only on Mother’s Day. Menu standouts include Bacon Dates, made with applewood smoked bacon, goat cheese, marcona almonds, and truffle honey; Yellow Gazpacho, made with Maine lobster and avocado, served on toasted brioche; Grilled Lamb Chops, accompanied by morel mushrooms, pickled ramp salsa verde and snap peas; and Clementine Panna Cotta, served with poached clementine, clementine coulie, and almond tuile. Miami Design District’s newest Italian eatery, Sofia, is celebrating moms with a special brunch menu served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the menu, you’ll find a Frittata, made with asparagus, roasted heirloom tomatoes, fontina, and shaved black truffle; Caviar Benedict, made with house English muffin, poached egg, Royal Ossetra, and champagne hollandaise; and Strawberry Pistachio Tart with white chocolate mousse, pistachio sponge, macerated strawberries and candied Sicilian pistachios.
