March is the month of madness, and no, we’re not just talking about college basketball. Miami is bursting with new deals and all you need to know is how to find them. Luckily, we’re here for you. Here are 11 specials (and special events) to take advantage of asap. 

American Social Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day for Three Days

Thought you could handle one St. Patrick’s Day celebration? Then how about three? American Social Bar & Kitchen is celebrating the boozy Irish holiday with a plethora of events. On Thursday, March 16, guests can enjoy drink specials like the $10 frozen Irish coffee, $8 Jameson drinks and shots, $10 Irish car bombs, $6 Guinness, and of course, green beer. On Friday, March 17 they’ll be hosting a St. Patty’s Day party featuring a live DJ and more of the aforementioned drink specials. Saturday, the 18, they’ll help you heal that hangover with a post-Patty’s Day Kegs & Eggs Irish Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring Irish-inspired dishes such as Irish Benedict and Jameson French Toast. Naturally, the drink specials will also still be available.

Fireman Derek’s Celebrates Pi Day with $3.14 Key Lime Pie Slices

If you’re a Fireman Derek’s fan, then you’ll be thrilled to know the bake shop is celebrating Pi Day (March 14) with a one-day-only and pretty sweet, deal. In honor of the mathematical holiday, guests can snag slices of their iconic key lime pie for $3.14 each.

Joliet Launches New Weekend Brunch

Joliet is launching a weekend brunch featuring Chef Juan Garrido’s bold dishes and a whole lot of bayou kick, available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Highlights from the menu include BBQ shrimp and grits, johnny cakes, steak ‘n eggs, cinnamon roll, and the New Orleans-inspired hot brown toast. The restaurant’s signature raw bar items, appetizers, and salads are also available. Brunch is complete with boozy offerings such as bloody marys, mimosas, french 75, espresso martinis, and more.

Kaori Kicks of Happy Hour

Kaori, Brickell’s modern Asian restaurant and cocktail bar, recently kicked off a new happy hour available Tuesday through Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. Happy hour will take place in the bar and dining room and will feature items like $1 oysters, cocktails for under $10, beer and wine for $7, and a variety of dishes under $20, such as pork belly bao and wagyu and foie gras gyozas, made with doubanjiang sauce, goma dare, and micro leek.

Level 6 Rooftop Launches Sunset Hour

Coconut Grove’s newest rooftop eatery, Level 6, is adding a little extra spice to the scene with their brand-new Sunset Hour happy hour every Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests can take in the Biscayne Bay views and Miami skyline while enjoying specially priced signature favorites, $8 wines, $10-$12 cocktails, and Spanish bites. You’ll find items like pan con tomate, salt cod croquettes, Spanish charcuterie, and oysters on the menu.

Papi Steak Hosts Sunday Roast

Every Sunday, Papi Steak is inviting guests for the ultimate dinner party, Sunday Roast. The Sunday Roast meal serves three people, and includes roast prime rib on the bone, served with au jus, creamy horseradish, red horseradish, roasted potato, creamed spinach, candied carrots, and whole roasted garlic. Dinner is priced at $350.

Slow Food Miami Brings Back Snail of Approval Tasting Party

Slow Food Miami is hosting its 12th annual Snail of Approval Tasting Party on March 16, 2023, at The Palms Hotel & Spa on Miami Beach. The event honors local chefs, restaurants, artisans, and purveyors who prioritize sustainability and local sourcing. The proceeds will benefit Slow Food Miami’s Edible School Garden Program, and tickets are available for purchase on Eventbrite. This year’s honorees include Chef Niven Patel, Chef Christian Chirino, Nicolas Miller, Patricia Olsen, Chef Giorgio Rapicavoli, Julio Cardenas, and Chef Kunj. Multi Emmy Award-winning television personality Cynthia Demos will be the emcee, and Eater Miami editor Olee Fowler and Time Out editor Falyn Wood are the event judges. Event proceeds benefit Slow Food Miami’s Edible School Garden Program. Tickets are available to purchase via Eventbrite here and the event will take place at the Palms Hotel & Spa.

Toro Toro Hosts The Second Annual Viva Abejas Culinary Campaign

Internationally renowned chef Richard Sandoval is back with his global culinary campaign, Viva Abejas (meaning Long Live Bees in Spanish), highlighting the importance of the world’s pollinators—bees—and our interdependence on nature. Sandoval’s Pan-Latin concept, Toro Toro, located at the InterContinental Miami, is showcasing several plant-based culinary selections that incorporate edible flowers, bee pollen, honey, avocado, and additional bee-centric ingredients. The exclusive a la carte menu will feature plant-forward creations like charred avocado pear salad, with Greek yogurt foam, candied walnuts, bibb lettuce, and honey-chipotle vinaigrette; enchiladas doradas, featuring Mexican Calabacitas stew, honey bell peppers, queso fresco, and crema; along with a handcrafted viva abejas cocktail, the honey lavender margarita. The campaign runs from Tuesday, March 21 to Sunday, April 23, and reservations can be made on OpenTable. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the World Bee Project and Akumal Cultural Foundation.

Women’s History Month Specials

MILA

If you’re splurging at MILA this month, be sure to order the limited-edition lavender olive oil cake, with blueberry jam, jasmine tea, and pine nuts and support a worthy cause. 100$ of the proceeds from this dessert will go to the Lotus House, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women, youth, and children. 

Additionally, in support of Lotus House and its partnership with RDG, hospitality investment firm Mohari Hospitality will match every dollar donated to the Lotus House with a maximum reach of up to $25,000.

LPM Restaurant & Bar

LPM Miami is offering a special cocktail and dessert to help raise month for the Women’s Fund, an organization that aims to create positive change for women and girls through grantmaking, advocacy, research, and collective impact. Throughout the month, guests can order the strawberry white chocolate tiramisu and the mon soleil cocktail, featuring Avian Rose Gin, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, mimosa marmalade, rooibos, and hibiscus bright.

W Miami Extends Happy Hour during W Women Empowerment Month

To celebrate Women’s History Month, Brickell’s W Miami has launched W Women Empowerment Month with weekly conversations every Wednesday throughout March. Each week will feature a different trending topic that covers women’s interests, followed by networking and an extended happy hour at the outdoor terrace of the hotels signature restaurant, ADDiKT Modern Kitchen.
