The 8 Best Miami Restaurants to Take Your Parents to

Maybe your parents are visiting. Maybe you need to share some big news with them. Or maybe you just want to do something nice. Impress your parents with a visit to one of these great spots.

Casa Isola

There’s no shortage of Italian restaurants in Miami, but Casa Isola is among the best. Everything on the menu is delicious and sizeable, so ordering multiple dishes per person is the best option. Some suggestions: the tuna crudo, the burrata Panzanella, the rigatoni alla vodka and—of course—the veal chop parm. The specials are always nice, too; don’t miss out on the mussels.

Casa Isola is located at 1418 20th Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website

CHICA Miami

Latin flavors abound at CHICA Miami. The restaurant from celebrity chef Lorena Garcia features tantalizing bites such as Peruvian corvina ceviche, wood-fired mushroom barbacoa, wagyu churrasco steak, and Venezuelan braised short rib. As if the food wasn’t enough to draw you in, the place is worth visiting for the aesthetic alone—CHICA is drop-dead gorgeous.

CHICA Miami is located at 5556 NE 4th Court, Miami, FL 33137. For more information, visit their official website

Costa Med

If your parents are the picky type, consider a trip to Key Biscayne’s Costa Med. The Mediterranean-inspired spot has an extensive menu of… well, everything. From steaks and chicken to salads, seafood, and pasta dishes, Costa Med offers something for all palates. Among the highlights: steak tartare, grilled octopus, bucatini alla Bolognese, and lamb chops.

Costa Med is located at 260 Crandon Boulevard, #46, Key Biscayne, FL 33149. For more information, visit their official website.

COTE Miami

COTE is the most interactive restaurant on this list. The Korean steakhouse in the Design District invites guests to cook and dine at their own pace. While you could order a la carte, we recommend opting for an all-inclusive package like the Butcher’s Feast, which comes with a lot of meat and a little bit of everything else. For a fun evening experience, COTE is hard to beat.

COTE Miami is located at 3900 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. For more information, visit their official website

Hiyakawa

Not on a budget? Splurge at Hiyakawa, a Wynwood Japanese gem. The neighborhood spot spares no expense when it comes to quality—every bite of fish and meat will blow your mind. Nigiri, sashimi, and other bites are available a la carte, but your best bet is one of the chef’s tastings.

Hiyakawa is located at 2700 North Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33127. For more information, visit their official website.

Osteria Del Teatro

For dinner and a show, look no further than Osteria Del Teatro. The Collins Avenue restaurant is home to some tasty Italian food and some spectacular people watching. Enjoy items like penne alla vodka, spaghetti Puttanesca, pappardelle ai granchi, and more while taking in the sights and sounds of South Beach’s colorful crowds. If you really want to impress your parents, brush up on the verbal specials (only listed on the website) so you can wow them with off-menu picks.

Osteria Del Teatro is located at 1200 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

RED South Beach

Your parents haven’t had steak this good before. RED South Beach is a South of Fifth institution with a reputation for serving up quality cuts. Steak lovers will find plenty to like here, as will non-steak folks. Red also offers an impressive raw bar selection plus pasta dishes, seafood, and sides galore. Everything is huge, so prepare your appetite accordingly.

RED South Beach is located at 801 South Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139. For more information, visit their official website.

Toscana Divino

Are your parents big on wine? Toscana Divino in Brickell is home to one of the largest selections in South Florida—we’re talking hundreds upon hundreds of bottles. The wine list is just of many attractions here. The other big draw: amazing Italian cuisine. Standout dishes include beef and beet tartare, pici senesi with duck ragu, and veal ossobuco.

Toscana Divino is located at 900 South Miami Avenue, #185, Miami, FL 33130. For more information, visit their official website
